Never before have retail channels shown such high preference for Vietnamese agricultural products as they do now.<\/p>\n
Abundant and Eye-Catching Displays<\/p>\n
Regular shoppers at Satra supermarket (3 Thang 2 Street, District 10, HCMC) are likely familiar with the image of a fruit boat located right in the fresh food section. Atop the wooden boat are piles of coconuts, dragon fruits, guavas, pomelos, oranges, tangerines, plums, and jackfruit... as fresh as a bustling Western regional market appearing right before the consumers' eyes.<\/p>\n
\"It looks very charming. I've stopped by a few times and seen so much fruit from the Mekong Delta; even the kids are excited to see these unique boats inside a supermarket,\" shared Ms. Huong (District 10).<\/p>\n
Similarly, upon entering Co.op Mart Ly Thuong Kiet (District 11), customers are immediately greeted at the entrance by a stall filled with fresh King oranges, watermelons, jackfruit, and guavas, stocked early in the morning awaiting shoppers.<\/p>\n
\"Previously, the fruit stalls were concentrated in one area, but now an additional mobile stall has been opened at the most spacious corner for easy shopping, with most products currently being on seasonal discount,\" said Ms. Thuy, a fruit stall staff member at this supermarket.<\/p>\n
Beyond being placed in the most accessible areas, Vietnamese agricultural products are now being cared for more meticulously before reaching the shelves. At Co.op Food supermarkets, after receiving goods from the warehouse, cherry tomatoes are hand-selected by staff and packed into hard plastic containers before being shelved.<\/p>\n
\"After being transported in large crates, some cherry tomatoes might get slightly bruised or damaged. We have to sit and select each one to ensure quality before packaging them for display,\" recounted Ms. Thu Linh, a staff member at Co.op Food Nguyen Kiem (Phu Nhuan District).<\/p>\n
According to Ms. Linh, products like Ly Son garlic or dragon fruit from Tien Giang and Binh Thuan are also carefully screened and categorized.
